Are you new to OC1 and want to improve, get into downwinding or racing, or just get OC1 training tips? Then this workshop is for you!
Please join us for a free OC1 paddling workshop on Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon to talk story with Kamanu Team Rider Lindsey Shank and me.

We’ll talk about:
- Safety and tips to keep you safe
- Downwind paddling – reading the water and surfing
- OC1 paddling technique and skills
- Rigging your OC1 for stability and speed
- The best way to carry an OC1
- Differences between paddling OC1 and OC6
We will focus on answering your questions, such as:
- If I want to race, how do I get started?
- What training should I be doing?
- How do I get better at downwind paddling?
- I’m afraid of flipping – is that a problem?
- I spin out when I’m surfing – how do I stop that?
- How do I overcome my fear of strong wind and big conditions?
- Why does my leg fall asleep when I paddle OC1?
PLUS! Kamanu will have a demo Noio on-site and can answer questions about their products. All participants will get a 20% discount off Kamanu-branded apparel and accessories.
Paddlers of all levels are welcome, especially women who are hungry for OC1 info and ready to improve.
